Cultural Diversity in Education

“Knowing and understanding the differences and similarities of beliefs”

Teachers must know the values and customs of other cultures in order to connect.

Old belief systems have created the new world. Connecting the old with the new allows students and teachers to become global citizens.

Regardless of culture or geographic location, all people have similarities. More importantly, all people share the need for basic human rights. Searching and celebrating those similarities is done by culturally aware educators.
