My philosophy on personal growth...

• Reflection is the art of gaining a deeper perspective of self in relation to society. 

• Personal growth occurs through continual self reflection.

• Understanding the perspectives of others provides insight into how to connect. 

M.C. Escher, the Dutch graphic artist believed in taking a "second look" to gain a better perspective of complex structures. 

Iditarod unit: Linked the ELA standards to the lessons I taught. Reflected while creating the chart. Creating the chart helped the students and I reflect on what we learned in class.
