
Patterns found when working towards a shared goal:
- Working with grade level team helped make weekly and unit goals approachable. (Who is the wolf in. fact and fiction?)
- Leading grade level teams on new units increased my awareness of my leadership style.
- Creating community resource presentation required collaboration with the school counselor.
- Small group meetings with peers clarified similar misunderstandings and increased support in difficult moments.
I worked with my mentor teacher, librarian, and district ELA guidelines to create a unit based on wolves in folktales. I utilized many resources including books, text, pictures, audio, and visual elements.
